Graveside Services for Jamie Lynn Cox, age 49 of Gainesville were set for 10:00
AM Wednesday at the Rosston Cemetery in Rosston, Texas. Services were
officiated by Rev. Bill Kimbley and directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.
Visitation was at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM.
Mr. Cox died on Saturday after a lengthy illness June 15, 2013 in Corinth, Texas.
Born October 15, 1963 in Littlefield, Texas. Jamie was one of the two children of Linda Maughan and Jerry Lee Cox. He had attended Bula school and graduated from Sudan High School in 1982. He then graduated from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas with a degree in Communication Graphics in 1987.
Jamie moved to the Dallas Area becoming a resident of Renaissance Care Center in Gainesville. He had worked for some time as a sign maker and was a great artist.
Survivors include: mother and stepfather, Linda and J.C. Maughan; father and spouse Jerry Lee and Patty Cox of Bula, TX; sister Danene Dirickson of Forestburg; nephew, Daniel Dirickson of Forestburg. He was preceded in death by: maternal grandparents: Morris and Gladys Phillips and paternal grandparents: Cecil & Lorene Cox and Harvey Whittenburg.
