Graveside Services for Lenard Green, age 63 of Saint Jo were held at 10:00 AM
Monday, June 17, 2013 at Mountain Park Cemetery, Saint Jo, Texas. Services were
officiated by Rev. Sam Campbell and directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.
The visitation was at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM. Lenard
died at 12:05 PM Friday, June 14, 2013 at his residence.
Born August 16, 1949 in Michigan City, Indiana, Lenard was one of the 6 children of Albert F. and Balbina Green. He married Alene Lee on December 21, 1979 in Nocona. He had lived most of his adult life in the Saint Jo area. Lenard loved to work on cars. He worked several years as an auto body repairman in Nocona and then operated his own shop in Saint Jo. He always had family barbeques when all of the kids were young. Fourth of July was always a big event with several hundred dollars of fireworks shot off every year. Lenard loved to go fishing and getting in the car for Sunday drives, never knowing where they would wind up.
Lenard is survived by his children: Mickie Romer and fiancé Wayne Kenyon of Iowa Park, Kathy and Ricky Davenport of Justin, Kay and Kirk Kelly of Justin, Brenda Furgeson of Fort Worth, Denise Cooper, Terry and Allan Malonson, and Doug Romer, all of Katy, TX; sisters and spouses: Barbara Frazier of Indiana; Debra and Ed Cook of Indiana; brothers and spouses: Ray and Diane Green of Gainesville, Al and Susan Green of Indiana; 13 grandchildren; and best friends James and Loretta Parmer of Saint Jo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alene; his parents: Albert and Balbina Green; his baby daughter: April; and his sister Mary Ann Green.
