Richard Joseph Hesse


     1944 - 2015

     Mass of Christian Burial for Richard Joseph Hesse, age 70 of Lewisville, is set for 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster. A Rosary/Vigil will be held 7:00 PM, Monday, March 9, 2015 at Scott Funeral Home in Muenster. Richard died on March 6, 2015.
Born on August 18, 1944, Richard Joseph Hesse was one of the seven children born to Meinrad and Ida (Walterscheid) Hesse. He married the love of his life, Janis Sue (Fitzhugh) Hesse and they became the proud parents of three daughters.
     Richard was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was reliable, honest, hardworking and always helpful to everyone he met. He was loved by many and he will be deeply missed.
     Richard is survived by his wife, Janis Sue (Fitzhugh) Hesse of Lewisville; his daughters: Carol and husband, Bryce, Chapman of Corinth, Melinda Nelson of Krum, and Jenny and husband, Robby, Hayes of Corinth; eight grandchildren: Lara Hesse, Lorna Hesse, Bradley, Patrick, and Ryan Hesse, Riliegh Nelson, Meagan and Ashley Hayes; three great-grandchildren: Jaiden, Isaac, and Olivia; brothers: Tommy and wife, Lucille, Hesse, Johnny and wife, Geri, Hesse; sisters: Suzanne and husband, Tom, Williams, Eileen and husband, Glen George, and Mary Hesse; sister-in-law: Dorothy Hesse; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Meinrad and Ida (Walterscheid) Hesse, and his brother, Paul Hesse.
     Pallbearers were: Bryce Chapman, Robby Hayes, Bradley Chapman, Patrick Chapman, Ryan Chapman, Tommy Hesse, Johnny Hesse, and Doyle Fitzhugh.
     In Lieu of Flowers: His family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations are sent to the VA medical centers.

Meinard Alcuin Yosten

     1935 - 2015


     Memorial Mass for Meinard Alcuin Yosten is set for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Rosary and Vigil will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, March 2, 2015 at Scott Funeral Home in Muenster. A private family burial will follow at a later date. Mr. Yosten died at his home in Muenster on February 28, 2015.
     Born November 3, 1935 in Muenster, Meinard was one of the seven children born to Nick and Rosa (Hesse) Yosten. He was a lifelong resident of Muenster and a graduate of Sacred Heart School.
     Meinard was inducted into the US Marine Corp on May 31, 1954 in San Diego, Camp Pendleton, California. He served 24 months at the US Naval Air Station in Alsugi, Japan and was honorably discharged on April 14, 1958.

     Meinard is survived by his sisters: Polly Spires of Gainesville and Armella Cler of Muenster; his brother, Nick and wife Marian Yosten of Hereford, Texas; his sisters-in-law: Francis Yosten of Muenster and Magdelan Yosten of Muenster. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Rosa (Hesse) Yosten, and his brothers, Tony, Werner and Herbie Yosten.
     Honorary pallbearers were his nieces and nephews.
