Clyde Wesley Yetter

     Funeral services for Clyde Wesley Yetter, Jr. age 93 of Saint Jo were held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the McCoy Funeral Chapel in Saint Jo. Services were officiated by Rev. Joe Gambill and directed by McCoy Funeral Home. Burial followed in Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo. A visitation period was held at 5:00 to 6:00 PM, Friday, November 1, 2013 at the funeral home. Mr. Yetter died at 7:10 AM Wednesday, October 30 in Nocona. Clyde died October 30, 2013.
     Clyde was born April 3, 1920 in Dallas, Texas to Edith Caroline (Priddy) and Clyde W. Yetter, Sr. He graduated from Saint Jo High School in May of 1938, Paris Junior College in May of 1940 and received a BA in business from Baylor University in 1950. He enlisted into the US Marine Corp and served as a Gunnery Sergeant from 1941 to 1945. He earned five battle stars. First and Second Battles of Midway, Roi-Namur (Marshalls), Tinien (Marianas) and Okinawa.
     January 24, 1946 Clyde married Sue Bryan Crenshaw in Oxford, NC and together they raised three children. He was an active member of the Presbyterian Church, the Masonic Lodge and established the Saint Jo Meals on Wheels. He served as Treasurer of both the Quarterback Club and Men’s Luncheon Club. He retired in 1990 from the First National Bank where he worked for 40 years. Clyde was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and held season tickets for many years.
     Clyde is survived by a son, Eddie and wife Sara of Saint Jo; daughter, Mary Edith and husband Butch Eldridge of Era; daughter, Susan Yetter of Saint Jo. A sister, Dorothy Cole of Colorado; brother-in-law, Hatcher Crenshaw of Virginia; and sister-in-law Sue Yetter of North Richland Hills. He is also survived by two grandchildren; Marty of Era and Christina of Dallas; two great-grandchildren: Ryan and Caitlyn of Era.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: J. E. and Charles Yetter and his wife, Sue (Crenshaw) Yetter.
     Pallbearers were: Bill Tom Meador, Stan Field, Tommie Sappington, Cotton Brawner, Terry Dunn, and Bob Langford. Honorary pallbearers were: Elaine Kingery, Judy Johnston, Marsha Foster, and Bill Payne.

Clara Amelia (Lutkenhaus) Wilde

     Mass of Christian Burial for Clara Amelia (Lutkenhaus) Wilde, age 96 of Muenster was held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 31, 2013 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster. A Rosary/Vigil was held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, October 30 at McCoy Funeral Home in Muenster. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Services were officiated by Rev. Ken Robinson and directed by McCoy Funeral Home. Mrs. Wilde died at 9:20 AM Tuesday, October 29, at the Muenster Health and Rehab Center.
    Born July 30, 1917 in Muenster, Clara was one of the 9 children of Henry Joseph and Frances Muck Lutkenhaus. She grew up and was a lifelong resident of Muenster. She attended school in Muenster, then married Richard Wilde on April 18, 1939 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart.
     Clara and Richard were the parents of 2 sons. She was a homemaker, spending most of her time caring for the boys.
     Clara is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, two sons, Melvin and Robert Dale Wilde, three sisters, Odelia Detten, “Sis” Felderhoff, Marie Lutkenhaus and five brothers, Arthur “Bobby”, Alex, Hugo, Bill and Harold Lutkenhaus and her parents Henry Joseph and Frances Lutkenhaus.
     Pallbearers were: Troy Lutkenhaus, Daniel Lutkenhaus, Greg Hoenig, Kenny Felderhoff, Ross Felderhoff and Donny Lutkenhaus.
     The family requests memorials be made to the Sacred Heart Building Fund.

Eleonore Christine Henscheid Klement

     Mass of Christian Burial for Eleonore Christine Henscheid Klement, age 93 of Muenster was held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rosary/Vigil service was at 6:00 PM Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Community Center. Services were officiated by Rev. Ken Robinson. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster. Mrs. Klement died October 14, 2013 in Muenster Memorial Hospital.
     Born June 16, 1920 in Muenster, Eleonore was the second of five children of William and Anna (Wiesman) Henscheid. She attended Sacred Heart School.
     Eleonore married Walt on January 7, 1941 at Sacred Heart Church after having met him at a dance in 1937. They were the proud parents of two daughters and four sons. Together, the family operated a Grade A milk producing dairy farm.
     Eleonore enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren, relatives and her many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
     Eleonore is survived by her daughters: Jeanette and husband Michael Fitzpatrick of Arlington, TX and Sharon Wolf of Gainesville; her sons: Wayne and Doris Klement of Muenster, Claude and Deb Klement of Muenster, Doyle and Carla Klement of Muenster, and Mark and Carol Klement of Muenster, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
     Eleonore was preceded in death by her: husband Walt Klement, her brothers: Norbert, Arnie, Werner and Jerome Henscheid.
     Pallbearers were: Kevin Wolf, Darren Jones, Chris Klement, Jeff Klement, Aaron Klement, Hunter Klement, and Matthew Klement.

Anthony Joseph Klement

     Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony Joseph Klement, age 92 of Muenster was held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 10, 2013. The Rosary/Vigil service was at 6:00 PM Wednesday. All services were at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster. Services were officiated by Rev. Ken Robinson and Rev. Kyle Walterscheid and directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Muenster. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Mr. Klement died early Monday morning on October 7, 2013 in the house where he was born and raised. Tony was surrounded by his wife of 70 years and his 14 children.
     Born June 13, 1921 in Muenster, Anthony “Tony” was the eldest of the 3 children of Frank and Margaret (Hartman) Klement. He attended Sacred Heart School and then the Subiaco Academy.
     Tony enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1942, and served until 1945. He married Isabel “Sis” Schmitz on August 19, 1943 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay. They were stationed at Bucksport, South Carolina. He was discharged in October 1945, returned to Muenster where he began carpenter work for a local lumber yard.
     Tony and Sis soon moved into the homeplace where they raised their 15 children. Tony then began farming along with his carpenter work. He and Sis have since continued to live on that farm.
     After 40 years of carpentry, Tony became semi-retired in 1987. He then enjoyed cabinet making, dominoes, gardening, hunting and fishing.
     Tony was a great family man. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and was a very good friend to all who knew him. He was always known to be one to help those in need. Tony will be greatly missed.
     Tony is survived by his: wife, Isabel “Sis” Klement of Muenster; children and spouses: Patsy and Paul Dangelmayr of Muenster, Pat and Ruth Klement of Muenster, Robert Klement of Muenster, Joyce and Tom Bayer of Muenster, Janet and Willie Fisher of Muenster, Alice Walterscheid of Muenster, Roy and Carol Klement of Muenster, Steve and Dianna Klement of Muenster, Diane and Dave Muller of Muenster, Darlene and Don Abney of Saint Jo, Marlene and Giles Walterscheid of Moss Lake, Peachie and Neil Huchton of Muenster; Kevin Klement of Muenster, and Gary Don Klement and life partner Charles Cummings of Gainesville; forty-three grandchildren and eighty great grandchildren; sisters: Anna Marie Bayer of Muenster; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Harold and Clara Schmitz; sisters-in-law: Clara Klement, Katye Schmitz and Laveta Schmitz.
     Tony was preceded in death by his: son: James Eugene Klement; parents: Frank and Margaret Hartman Klement; brother: Eugene Klement; granddaughter: Stephanie Nicole Huchton; son-in-law: Kenneth “Kenny” Michael Walterscheid, Sr.
     Pallbearers were his grandsons: Mike Dangelmayr, Darren Klement, Bubba Klement, Coy Fisher, Kenneth Walterscheid, Ryan Klement, James Klement, Jason Huchton. Honorary pallbearers were all his other grandchildren.
     The family requests memorials be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Blessed Pope John Paul II, University Parish, Denton, Texas.

Glenda Carlton

     Funeral service for Glenda Ann (Huckabay) Carlton, age 72 of Forestburg were held at the McCoy Funeral Chapel in Saint Jo on Thursday, 10:00 AM. The service was officiated by Danny Russell and directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo. Mrs. Carlton died at her home Tuesday morning, September 24, 2013.

     Glenda was born on May 6, 1941 in Bolivar, Texas, one of the 5 children of Vernon Glenn and Mary Magdalene “Mag” Huckabay. She grew up and graduated high school in Forestburg.

     Glenda married J. D. Carlton in June 1970 in Ryan, Oklahoma. They have continued living in the Forestburg area since marriage.

     Glenda is survived by her: husband, J. D. Carlton of Forestburg; daughter, Tammie Hamilton of Bolivar; sons and spouses: Terry and Lavina Kent of Saint Jo, Clint and Kendra Carlton of Forestburg; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her: parents, Glenn and Mag Huckabay; grandson, Jeff Landers; and brother Vernon Huckabay.

Don Gregory

     Funeral services for Edward Don Gregory, age 79 of Flower Mound were held at 11:00 Tuesday, September 24 at the First United Methodist Church in Saint Jo. Services were officiated by Rev. Larry Kruger and directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo. The visitation period was from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial was in Starkey Cemetery.

     Mr. Gregory died at 5:00 PM Saturday in a Denton hospital.

    Born June 24, 1934 in Nocona, Texas, Don was the son of Flemon Edward and Etta Marie Gregory. He grew up and attended school in Saint Jo. He graduated high school there in 1953.

     Don and Peggy Dunn were married on July 28, 1954 in Saint Jo. They became the parents of a son and a daughter. Don had worked most of his life for Halliburton Oil Services, a total of 38 years (1956-1994). Most of his work with Halliburton was in the Jacksboro, Kilgore and Gainesville areas.

     Don retired in 2000. He and Peggy then moved to Flower Mound where he became a member of the Trietsch United Methodist Church.

     Don was a great family man. He really enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports. He also enjoyed reading and gardening, and, in general, his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

     Don is survived by his: wife, Peggy Dunn Gregory of Flower Mound; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and James Picquet of Flower Mound and two grandsons, Ross and Luke Picquet. He was preceded in death by his: son, Phillip Gregory; parents: F.E. and Etta Marie Gregory; and sister: Fern Owen.

    The family requests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church in Saint Jo, or to the American Heart Association. 

Tommie Moulder

     Funeral services for Tommie J. Cable Moulder were held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Saint Jo Church of Christ with C.E. Cole officiating. Internment followed at McGrady Cemetery. Services were directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.

     Tommie, age 96, peacefully passed away Tuesday evening September 3, 2013 in Weatherford, Texas with family by her side.

     Tommie was the sixth of seven children born to Tom and Belle (McGrady) Cable on April 15, 1917 near Clear Creek west of Saint Jo.

     Tommie had an adventurous childhood growing up in the Dye Mound area where she learned a great deal about making your own fun, a trait she put to use her entire life. Tommie used money from a cotton crop she and her siblings harvested to begin attending what is now the University of North Texas. She received both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from there.

     During WWII Tommie married her high school sweetheart, Johnnie Moulder just prior to his deployment overseas. Johnnie and Tommie enjoyed 53 years of a very loving marriage. One of Tommie’s greatest loves was being with and helping her family. She was very proud of being a wife to Johnnie, a mother to John Cable, and in helping raise her niece Lina Jo. Tommie’s nieces and their families were so dear to her heart adding unforgettable excitement and memories to her life.

     “Miss Tommie, Miss Tommie” was the call many of us heard for years. She recalled when it all began:

     “I’d introduced myself as Miss Tommie at Dye Mound because my mother was still alive, and my sister Lina also had the last name of Cable, and I thought another Miss Cable would just confuse people. When I came to Saint Jo to teach some of the same kiddos I’d taught at Dye Mound were students here, and they continued to call me Miss Tommie. After I got married they worried I was going to change my name. So they had me write a letter to my husband, who was in service at the time, and ask him if it would be alright if I could still be Miss Tommie. Johnnie replied that it would be fine to continue.”

     “When I took a job teaching at Prairie Valley, I thought I’d be Mrs. Moulder, and that’s how I introduced myself to a roomful of third and fourth graders. However, two or three days later a little girl said: ‘You’re not the teacher I thought was coming, my cousin in Saint Jo said a Miss Tommie was coming, and she said a lot of good things about her, but that Miss Tommie didn’t come.’ I said ‘Well, I am Miss Tommie, and that name just stayed with me from then on.”

     Teaching was not just a job to Tommie it was truly her passion. She felt that being an educator was the greatest profession a person could have. The evidence of this was shown through the fact that she could still remember students she had taught in the forties and fifties along with who they married and in most cases knew their children. The many visits she continued to have her entire life from former students was a source of great pleasure to her.  Her teaching career spanned 40 years and included 15 years as the Principal of Saint Jo Elementary. After retiring Tommie continued her service to the school by serving on the school board.

     Tommie was also a fan of having fun and was thus involved in every social club at one time or another that Saint Jo had to offer. Her greenhouse and the flowers she grew there were shared with many people in town. Tommie was very civic minded and involved in her community.  She was a member of the Saint Jo Church of Christ, numerous civic clubs as well as several professional organizations.

     Tommie is survived by her son John Cable Moulder and wife Allee, of Weatherford, Texas, two grandchildren Joncee Moulder Blake and husband Teal Blake currently of McLeod, Montana, and Reid Moulder currently attending Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. Nieces Lina Jo Flusche, Laveoda Nance, Stella Manion and Sara Reaves. Also several great-nieces and nephews.

     Tommie was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Moulder, parents Tom and Belle Cable and siblings J.B Cable, Inez Wade, Pauline Johns, Winnie Belle Parks, Lina Boggess and T.S. Cable Jr., a niece Patty Sue Johns Black and nephew Charles Wade.
