A memorial service for Helen Marie (Evans)
Tompkins, age 78 of Muenster, is set for 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 14, 2014 at
Scott Funeral Home in Muenster. Ms. Tompkins died Friday, December 12, 2014 in
Muenster.
One of three children, Helen was born on
April 13, 1936 to George Bailey and Mattie Estell (Warden) Evans in Bowie,
Texas. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She served as the
chief of Police in Muenster for eighteen years.
Helen is survived by her: daughter and
son-in-law, Sabra Ann and Greg Robertson of Bowie; seven grandchildren and
eleven great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Joe B. and Betty Evans
of Sunset. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Kay Tompkins;
sons: Mike and Joey Tompkins; two grandchildren; and brother, Bobby “Stick
Horse” Evans.
Honorary pallbearers are: Bobby Tompkins,
Jeramiah Robertson, Brian Tompkins, Matt Robertson, Cody Tompkins, and Jennifer
Tompkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests
donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
