1946 – 2014
Velma Earlene (Brackeen) McBride was born
November 15, 1946 in Gainesville, Texas. She married WJ “Dub” McBride on
December 29, 1966 and they became the proud parents of two children. They made
their home and raised their children in Saint Jo. Velma died Wednesday,
November 26, 2014 in Denton.
Velma is survived by her husband, Dub
McBride of Saint Jo; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Mike Barnett of
Springfield, MO; grandchildren: Byron and Bailie Aston; great grandchildren:
Bentley, Brison and Michael; her mother Ruby Brackeen of Gainesville; and several
brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy Brackeen,
son, Eric McBride, and brother, Arvil Brackeen.
