Homer Merle Bell

     Funeral service for Homer Merle Bell, age 71 of Saint Jo, is scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Saint Jo with Rev. Ricky Kerr officiating. Burial will follow at the Montague Cemetery in Montague under the direction of Scott Funeral Home of Saint Jo. A visitation is scheduled for 6:00—8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Scott Funeral Home of Saint Jo.
     Homer M. Bell passed away at his home surrounded by family and friends on June 22 in Saint Jo, TX. Homer was born on July 16, 1942 in Decatur, TX to Homer J. and Eva Mae (Schockley) Bell. After graduating from Forestburg High School in 1960, he completed one year of college at NCTC. On July 21, 1962, Homer married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Linda Carol Landers. After 32 years at Lockheed Martin, he retired from his work as an aircraft assembler.
     Homer is survived by his wife, Linda Carol (Landers) Bell of Saint Jo; daughters: Tina Lin Bell of Saint Jo and Janell Darice and husband, David Clark of Argyle; grandchildren: Micheal and wife, Kayla Mullins of Saint Jo, Travis Benson of Saint Jo, Mason Clark of Argyle, and Bryanna Clark of Argyle; one great-grandchild, Paxton Mullins of Saint Jo; sister: Karen and husband, Ronnie Johnson of Montague; brother: Wayne and wife, Lisa Bell of Bowie. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Baby Boy Bell, his parents, and his brother, Rex Darrell Bell.
     Pallbearers were: Micheal Mullins, Travis Benson, David Clar, Mason Clark, Anthony Braatz, and Jimmy Simmons.
