Coy Mosley

     1923 - 2015

     Funeral services for Coy Mosley, age 92 of Saint Jo, are set for 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Saint Jo with Rev. Duane McClure and Rev. Jeff Roe officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo under the direction of Scott Funeral Home of Saint Jo. A visitation is set for 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Friday, February 20, 2015 at the funeral home in Saint Jo. Mr. Mosley died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in a Wichita Falls hospital.
     One of two sons, Coy Edward Mosley was born on January 22, 1923 in Bonita, Texas to John and Maud (Holmes) Mosley. He graduated in 1940 from Saint Jo High School. On December 29, 1945, Coy married the love of his life, Mary Nell Lawson at the First Baptist Church in Saint Jo. They were the proud parents of two daughters, Rebecca and Jeaton.
     In 1985, Coy retired at the age of 62 from Atlantic Richfield Oil Company where he had worked for 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Saint Jo and the Saint Jo Riding Club where he held many positions, including Vice President. Coy was also a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Saint Jo. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him!
     Coy is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Nell (Lawson) Mosley of Saint Jo; daughters: Rebecca Harris of Saint Jo and Jeaton and husband, Roger Russell of Nocona; grandchildren: Holly Harris-Bayer and husband, Brandon Bayer of Lindsay and Kyle Russell of Nocona; and three great-grandchildren: Macy Bayer, Maverick Bayer and Tennyson Bayer all of Lindsay. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Maud (Holmes) Mosley, his brother, John Vaudrey Mosley and his son-in-law, Prentis L. “Van” Harris.
     Pallbearers were: Brandon Bayer, Kyle Russell, Jerry Raymond, Jimmy Raymond, Dudley Sparkman, Leeton Phillips, and Doug Gaston. Honorary pallbearers were Roy Lawler and David Cooke.
